Funeral services for Ruby G. Van Sandt, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nolan Logan officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Mrs. Van Sandt entered into rest September 12, 2010 in Bossier City. She was a homemaker, and a resident of Bossier City since 1962.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Nellie Smith, and son-in-law, John Jacob Felux.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, Billy J. Van Sandt (CWO USAF Retired) ; four children, Sandra Van Sandt Felux of Bulverde,TX; Dr. Donald Joe Van Sandt (Lt.Col. USAF Retired) and wife Sally of Hallsville, TX; Denise Van Sandt-Boyd and husband Lynn of Flint,TX; Jeannine Van Sandt of Asheville, N.C.; sister, Mary Jane Knox; brothers, Billy Earl Smith and Wayne Allen Smith all of Harrisonville, MO; twelve grandchildren, Darin, Robyn, Shane, Casey, Samuel, Lillian, Ariele, Hannah, Calla, Conner, Emery, Eli, and eleven great-grandchildren.
