A Celebration of Life service for Lindsay Kimmell is scheduled for 11 AM, Monday, August 12, 2019 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA. Pastor Dennis Aaron, of Free Range Cowboy Church in Greenwood, will serve as officiant for the service. The family welcomes friends to a visitation from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Lindsay was born in Shreveport, LA on December 6, 1983. The family then moved to El Dorado, AR where she attended all 12 years of school and graduated from El Dorado High. After graduation, she returned to Shreveport until 7 years ago where she fulfilled her dream to live in Colorado. Wanting to be near his sister, her brother Gray joined her in her new home in Denver. Lindsay loved the Denver culture, music, art, nightlife and all the outdoor activities that the area provided. She had an unwavering love of family and friends, was a free spirit and lived life to its fullest every day. She possessed a kind heart and an infectious smile. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. Lindsay will truly be missed. It was an honor to be her father.
Preceding Lindsay in death are her mother, Sally Kimmell; grandfather, Gerald Kimmell; uncle, Jerry Kimmell; aunt, Sheila Kimmell; and her beloved dog, Roland. Left to cherish her memory are her father, Allen Kimmell and wife Sandy; brother, Gray Allen Kimmell; step-brothers, Michael Butler and Dustin Butler; step-sister, Macy Butler; grandmother, Betty Ruth Kimmell; uncle, Don Kimmell and wife Patty; cousins, Heather Robinson, Kali Whatley and husband Josh, Toni Permenter and husband Joe, Millie Chase and husband Daniel and Alyssa Kimmell. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Denver Health SCIU and Donor Alliance as they were the most amazing group of surgeons and nurses. They went far beyond their job description to show that they care. We will forever be grateful.
