HAUGHTON, LA – Memorial Services celebrating the life of Sharon McCloud Gauthier will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Deacon Michael Straub officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Sharon was born on March 30, 1948 in Thornton, KY to Troy and Ernestine (Bentley) McCloud and passed away peacefully on March 26, 2022 in Bossier City, after a long courageous battle with Polio.
She loved her family dearly and was a proud wife, mother and grandmother for all of their accomplishments. In her earlier years, she was able to navigate motherhood and hold positions such as a dental assistant and even worked as a historian at NASA. She later became a successful real estate agent/ broker, notary and appraiser. She and her husband were long time parishioners of St. Jude Catholic Church and owned Southern Home Lenders in Bossier City. Sharon is remembered for her determination, perseverance, and incredible work ethic but most importantly for her caring heart and zest for life.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Havard Gauthier; son, Lee Morris; daughter, Tami Morris Krebs; son in-law, Derek Krebs; grandchildren, Haley Morris, Macie Morris, Kyndall Krebs and Kennedy Krebs; siblings, Sheila Mannikka, Sue Long and William "Randy" Cody; sister in-law, Sandra Cody as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by mother and father, Ernestine and William Cody; birth father, Troy McCloud; brothers-in-law, Ted Mannikka and Bobby Long.
The family would like to thank Dr. Carter Boyd, Dr. Royal M. Becker with Intensive Specialty Hospital, and the Willis Knighton staff, as well as Colonial Oaks Rehabilitation Center for all their kindness and care. The family would also like to recognize Father Daigle and the members of St. Jude Catholic Church for their visits and prayers.
