Susan E. Yeager Morrison died unexpectedly Saturday, September 2, 2017 at LifeCare on Linwood. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 12, 1953 to Lawrence “Larry,” “Mano” and Charlotte “Charley” (McAvoy) Yeager. She was a proud member of the 1971 graduating class of Sahuaro High School in Tucson, AZ. She served as a valued paralegal at LunnIrion, and the Malone Law Firm; and an administrative coordinator for Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Susan suffered with rheumatoid arthritis her entire adult life, but did not let her pain and many surgeries keep her from seeking out new experiences. She enjoyed eating good food, dancing and listening to music, gardening, visiting with friends, and traveling when she could, but mostly she loved spending time with her child and grandchild. She gave generously of her time, talent, and treasure to others and was an active member of her church. She was also a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother who worked tirelessly to ensure they had every possible advantage.
She will be remembered with love by her daughter, Kathleen Bozeman (Douglas) Schexnayder; her granddaughter, Selene Schexnayder; her sisters, Karen (Lee) Dantin and Norah (Craig) Hendrix-Adams; her nephews, Todd Yore, Jared (Jennifer) Yore, and Crosby Hendrix; her niece, Leah Hendrix; and her great niece, Tallulah Yore, along with her many cousins and friends.
She goes to join her parents, her brother-in-law, Wayne Hendrix; and her beloved schnauzer, Sissy.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Susan Morrison may be given to the Rheumatology Research Foundation at www.rheumresearch.org or 2200 Lake Boulevard NE, Atlanta, GA 30319, or to the Humane Society of Louisiana at 2544 Linwood Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103, in memory of Susan and Sissy Morrison.
