Thomas W Harris

Thomas William Harris Sr., age 91, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Thomas was born November 3, 1934, in Durham, North Carolina to Jesse James and Margaret Choplin Harris.

Thomas enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably as a Radio Intercept Operator.

Tommy Harris was a loving husband of 72 years to Dot, father to Tommy Jr. and Glenn, and Papa to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, going to church and Sunday School, and listening to his country and gospel music.

He also loved playing golf, watching golf, watching his Duke Blue Devils…and being tormented by the Dallas Cowboys. Tommy was an absolute connoisseur of ice cream and sweets in general. He was always quick with a joke and always made those around him laugh and smile. He will be greatly missed by all those that were blessed to have him touch their lives.

Tommy Harris is survived by wife Dorothy (Dot) Critcher Harris; son, Glen (Karen) Harris, daughter-in-law Jinny Harris (Tom Jr.), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tom Harris Jr., father, Jessie Harris; mother, Margaret Harris; sisters, Geraldine Armstrong and Barbra Harris.

Service will be private.
