Mr. Pepper,
I am so sorry to hear about Tommie.  I know you will miss her terribly.  I truly loved to get to see her when I would come to visit Marie and go to church with her. I always hoped she would be there so I could talk to her. She would always ask me how I liked my job and somehow math always entered the conversation.  Please know you and your family are in my prayers.  She was a great lady, probably responsible for me being a math teacher.

Mrs. Pepper was the one teacher who made me feel so comfortable when I transferred to HHS during my Junior year. She was a caring, loving, but tough teacher. I remember the fun times with her in Beta Club. My 2 sisters, Leslie and Cathy, and my parents, Sam & Lillian McDonald, considered Mrs. Pepper a friend. She will be missed by so many. May you rest in peace, Mrs. Pepper.

Mrs. Pepper was my Algebra teacher in high school in 1966 she was the type of teacher who wanted all her students to succeed she will be missed by so many. Condolences to the family.

Like many other former students I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Pepper's passing.  She was a tough teacher but it was because she cared and expected us to do our best.  Now that I am a teacher I can even more appreciate what she did for her students.

What an amazing lady who taught me you could be tough and stand up for what was right without being a bully. And I hear her aim when chunking chalk across the classroom was amazingly accurate. My parents, Jeanette and Charlie Morrison, deeply admired the entire Pepper family. My earliest memories at Haughton United Methodist Church include Mr. and Mrs. Pepper. Haughton has lost a true champion.

Mr. Pepper I am so sorry for your loss.  I always enjoyed seeing her at special functions and especially seeing her several times at the Haughton lunch.  Her reputation precedes her and she was highly thought of and respected by all who knew her.  She has truly left a legacy. God Bless you and your family.

I was not lucky enough to have Mrs. Pepper for a teacher but I always knew if I had, I would have learned greatly and enjoyed doing so. Her reputation as one of the finest teachers was one of her many attributes. What a great lady; she will be missed by many!

Ann and Family.  So sorry to hear about Mrs Pepper.  She was such a special person and will be greatly missed.  I remember all the great and funny stories that my Dad used to tell us.  She was in the golfing group at the club and she sure kept him straight. She will be greatly missed.  My love and prayers are with you and your family during this tough time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.  Mrs. Pepper was one of the best teachers Haughton High School ever had.  She expected a lot from her students, and I will always be in awe of her knowledge and intellect.  In 2000 I had a visit with her while I was travelling with my mother, Jamie Stewart.  It was a great blessing for me to sit for a few moments with such a memorable teacher in my high school life. I am so sorry to hear that Mrs. Pepper passed away.  I was hoping to see her when I came to Louisiana this summer in June.  She was an excellent teacher who I will always remember.  May you all be blessed with peace and comfort through the coming weeks.  I know you will miss her.

Dear John, Ann & James,
Tommie was such a good friend and mentor.  I regret not staying in closer contact with all of you.  I loved and respected her very much.  The world lost one of it's angles here on earth when she died.  You are in my prayers and thoughts.

Ann and family, I am so sorry for your loss.  Mrs. Pepper was one of the most respected teachers at Haughton.  I have such fond memories of her.  Although, she seemed a tough cookie - she was really a sweetheart.  Love and sympathy to all of you. I pray that God helps you get through this difficult time.

Mr Pepper, Ann, and John. Sorry to hear about Mrs Pepper. She was one of my favorite teachers at HHS and influenced not only me but many students throughout her teaching career. Whenever I saw her she was always interested in what i was doing and especially wanted to know about my golf game. I am working in Europe but Jo Anne will personally deliver my condolences. Your family will be in my prayers.

My condolences to the Pepper family. Mrs. Pepper was my favorite teacher after I moved to Haughton HS during my Jr. year. She strived for us to be the best that we could be. She will be missed.

Condolences to the family of Mrs. Pepper. She was my favorite teacher in high school. She is the one that encouraged me to go to college. What a jewel she was! Praying for everyone.

Please accept my deepest condolences in your loss. Tommie taught me general science and math 1950-1954 and she was often seen as tough. 
Though probably not one of her favorite pupils, I would prefer to remember her as a GOOD teacher and person. I didn't realize what a good teacher she was until I began my mechanical engineering curriculum in 1963. I owe her much for a successful adult career in engineering and management.
