Virginia was a born-again believer that made sure her children grew up at the Queensborough Baptist Church and received the wonderful gift of salvation. After her children were all in school, she went back to school and became a Louisiana Practical Nurse, and in the early 70's returned back to school to become a Registered Nurse. Over 35 years of her career were spent as a nurse in the emergency room at Willis Knighton North.
Things she enjoyed in life, were nursing, traveling, gardening, reading, playing cards, and participating with her "Red Hat" friends. She was a devoted mother, and her children will be forever grateful for making sure they got to try anything that interested them and always being there when she was needed.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39.
