Willie E. "Tom" Thompson Jr.

Funeral services for Willie E. "Tom" Thompson,Jr., 75, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Glenn Alderman, pastor of Belle Park Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Tom entered into rest July 13, 2010 at Schumpert Medical Center. He was a retired T/Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Belle Park Baptist Church, and a resident of Haughton since 1970.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Edith Thompson,Sr, and brother, David Thompson.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Jessie Faye Thompson; three children, Lisa Leach and husband David of Austin,TX; Dr. Buddy Thompson and wife Susan of Lucas,TX; Tommie Thompson and wife Carly of Haughton, LA;

sister, Mable Gilland of Sikeston, MO; brother, Greg Thompson of Sikeston,MO; six grandchildren, Michael Leach, Justin Leach, Morgan Thompson, Meagan Thompson, Michaela Thompson, and Cade Thompson.

Pallbearers will be James Clark,Jr., Timmy Clark, Michael Leach, Justin Leach, Tim Dupree, David Dupree, and Cade Thompson.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Nurse Care Staff, and Schumpert Medical Center, for the care and support they provided for PaPa.
