Eric G. Redlener, PhD New Rochelle, NY On May 18, after a long and difficult illness, Eric, 64, passed away at home surrounded by his family. Until his last day he articulated how much he loved his family, as well as his close and lifelong friends. Eric was a tremendously successful psychologist who co-founded two wonderful organizations that provided care and comfort to residence-bound seniors and young children with disabilities. He was highly respected by everyone he came to know in his work and was beloved by his staff. Eric cared deeply about people, was kind to everyone and was the “go to guy” when there was anything he could do to help in times of trouble. His unique and irreverent sense of humor filled his world with joy and laughter. His deep love of his family was epic. He adored his wife Gloria and together they enjoyed a life filled with travel and adventure. His family showered him with existential gifts. He was beloved by his wife; his daughter, Sasha, and his son Jake. He celebrated his daughter's marriage to Randall in a beautiful wedding last summer. And Jake's recent graduation was a tremendous source of pride. Rick and his two brothers, Irwin and Neil, were emotionally inseparable and supportive through every imaginable life experience. And he enjoyed the love and adoration of his two sisters, Ruth and Nicole, and sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Arthur. Eric is also survived by a large and loving multi-generational family.
