Fred was born on January 3, 1945 to Jack Lambert and Anne Lambert (nee Schafus), and overcame many obstacles during his youth, including hearing loss at an early age. Even though life threw him a curveball, he still managed to live with an adventurous spirit, a joke and a smile. Fred attended Pace University and graduated with a degree in Accounting. He worked his entire career as a financial analyst for UJA Federation in New York, NY. He loved the water, building/fixing things, woodworking, sports (including his beloved Yankees), all things dogs, and his family. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Monica Lambert (nee Striar); his children William Lambert (Carrie), and Sara Lambert; his granddaughter Esther; his brother Lewis Lambert (Danielle) and sister Susan Dvorak (Charles); his sisters-in-law Robin Freedman (Leslie) and Lisa Shaw (Matthew); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family invites all who would like to remember and celebrate Fred’s life to join them at 11:30 am at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 100 Saw Mill River Road, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
