Lauren Gail Kardish

Lauren Gail Kardish, a beloved and cherished member of her community, passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on October 7, 1960, in Queens, New York, Lauren was a devoted individual whose life was marked by her love for family, friends, and her work.

Lauren was a dedicated student, earning a Bachelor's Degree, which laid the foundation for her future endeavors. Her career was highlighted by her role as the owner of Play Dates for Pets, where she combined her passion for animals with her entrepreneurial spirit. In her personal life, Lauren was a devoted wife to her husband, Michael, and a loving mother to her children, Gabriel and Jymes and his wife Jaimee . Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished her role as a grandmother to her granddaughter, Rylee. Lauren is also survived by her brother, Eric Manes, her sister, Beth Heffron, and her mother, Marlene Manes. She was predeceased by her father, Donald Manes.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, followed by interment in the Sharon Gardens cemetery. Lauren's memory will be forever treasured by those who knew and loved her.

Shiva Opportunities:

We are heartbroken to inform you that our dear sweet kind and loving Lauren Kardish passed away last night. There will be three (3) opportunities to pay a Shiva call to the family. Beginning with the first Shiva on Thursday, July 3rd, at 3 – 8pm at Chabad of Dobbs Ferry located at 303 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry. There will be a short break for the family to have dinner from 530-6pm. The second and third Shiva days will be Friday, July 4th from 12-6pm and Sunday July 6th from 1-8pm at Lauren and Michael’s home at 64 Euclid Avenue, with a short break on Sunday for the family to have dinner from 530-6pm. There is a shiva fund being managed by Jaime Krumper so that the platters of food can be ordered in an organized fashion. For the first night of Shiva at Chabad the food can only be ordered from Seasons or other Glatt Kosher (that level of Kashruth).
