

Maxine was born on May 13th, 1941 to Raymond Avery and Freda Miller in Los Angeles, California. Maxine was predeceased by her Husband, Clyde R. Muse and Her brother, Stephen Avery.
She is survived by her brother Howard Avery and sister Randy Avery. Her legacy continues through her three sons, James "Kimo"(Juliet), Jon, Todd (Victor) and Stephen (Erica). Maxine was blessed with seven loving grandchildren, Kaimana, Maile, Kawika, Avery, Olivia , Elizabeth and Kainoa.
Maxine was a true mentor not only to her immediate family members but to those friends who were blessed to know her. Her guidance and courage was an inspiration to her family and to all who were graced by her presence. Her inner strength was evident as she overcame many challenges in her life. Her beautiful smile and humor will be sorely missed.
Maxine resided in Los Angeles, Hawaii and Nevada. Maxine spent the past nine years living in New York.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a private burial Calverton National Cemetery.
We will honor Maxine in a celebration of life on the anniversary of her death with an unveiling at Calverton National Cemeterya year from her departure, March 3, 2022.
