Born, April 12th, 1957 on the picturesque island of Jamaica in the small country side town of Deeside to parents Dudley & Estella (Lewis) Watson. He attended school in Jamaica and later pursued his passion of building. His Masonry and Carpentry career span over 34 years. During his career, he has assisted in training many individuals who are now creative experts in their own rights.
If you ask a hundred people who we've lost, they'd all give you a different answer. Chris was first a father, grandfather, son, brother and a very charismatic friend. Others will say we've lost a superhero, a man on a mission, a charmer, a builder or even a salesman with the heart of a lion. He was and expert talker that could talk you out of your shoes. But most importantly, HE was fearless!
He relocated to the BIG city of New York in his late twenties in hopes of creating a better life for his kids and extended family. With a business mindset, he got the opportunity to manage a laundromat facility, where he exceeded expectations and grew the business like no other. Throughout his endeavors one thing remained certain, Chris was a family man, skilled and experienced mason & carpenter who perfected the art of building.
If you asked Chris, his greatest accomplishment was not just being able to create and build, it was being a father to his three (3) kids and being that friend whom you could always count on.
Ragland Phillip Watson aka (Chris) was preceded in death by his father and one sister. He is survived by his mother Estella, Children Gregory, Kemar & Marisa, grandchildren, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, other extended families & friends.
Please join us in celebrating the life of our beloved Chris on Saturday, March 12th, 2022 at Riverside Memorial Chapel (21 Broad Street W. Mount Vernon, New York). The viewing will be held starting a 9:00am which then follows the service at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, New York.
