

A Time to be Born…
On June 4, 1948, Albert J. Taylor was born to Willie Taylor and Ruby Lee Jones in Greenville, Mississippi. Albert was raised in a Christian family and accepted Christ as his savior at an early age.
A Time to Plant…
He attended Julia L. Armstrong Elementary School and Coleman High School. During the early sixties, Albert participated in many civil rights activities to promote equality for all Greenvillians and Californian friends.
A Time for War and a Time for Peace…
In 1967 Albert joined the United States Army earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served his country in various countries including a tour of duty in Vietnam during the war.
A Time to Love…
On April 12, 1969 Albert married the love of his life, Linda. They have celebrated 51 anniversaries. This union gave birth to two daughters and one son: Tanya, Tamia, and Albert Quennel.
A Time to Plant and a Time to Uproot…
The family left Greenville, Mississippi and moved to California in 1972. Albert was employed by the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 27 years. He was a well-liked carrier for those he served in Pasadena, California.
A Time to Die…
On Friday, January 8, 2021 Albert departed this life to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Taylor and Ruby Lee Jones.
A Time to Mourn…
Albert leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife Linda, the children; Tanya, Tamla, and Albert Quennel. 4 grandchildren; Rejonica, Daveyon, Tajee, and Ahnaya. 4 great-grandchildren; Andrew, Tymarion, Jayden, and Ariel. 5 sisters; Annette J Bell of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ruth Ann Jones of Greenville, Mississippi, Dorothy Jones and Isabella Williams of Detroit, Michigan, Helen Brown of Houston, Texas, Brother Paul J. Humphry of Detroit, Michigan, a “love” brother, Joe Bravo, of Upland, California, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews of Uncle Albert, and many extended family members.
