

Argentina P. Williams (aka Tina) was born in Birmingham, Alabama on February 9, 1938 to the late Edgar and Elizabeth Portis. She is the seventh of eleven children and has a twin sister Amanda. Tina was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Holy Family Elementary School and graduated from Western Olin High School. After graduating high school, she attended Alabama A & M College and East Los Angeles College in California. She moved from Alabama to Hartford Connecticut, and later settled down in Southern California. Tina and Freddie married August 9, 1981 and this year marked their 34th anniversary.
Argentina (aka Tina) worked for many years as a Dietician and Food Director at Country Villa in los Angeles, California. She always said that she was a "Chef and not a cook". Tina loved to cook and enjoyed hosting beautiful and elegant family dinners. Affectionately nicknamed "The Grand Lady" by her nephew Andre Doss because he said she was so classy. Tina was also "The Master Supervisor" as she supervised everywhere, on and off the job. Tina loved her husband Freddie, her family, traveling, and going to any Casino.
She leaves behind her husband, Freddie L. Williams of Moreno Valley, CA., her twin sister, Amanda L. Doss of Moreno Valley, Ca., a sister, Jacqueline A. Portis of Perris, Ca., and a brother, Bernard Portis of Grand Terrace, Ca., 3 sons from marriage, Robin (Frances) Williams of Gardena, Ca., Frederick C. (Cheri) Williams of Chino, Ca., Steven L. (Gayle) Williams of Cerritos, Ca., And special not to Jasmin Barboza, who was loved as a daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
