

She was born on Saturday, January 21, 1933 in Chicago, IL, to her late mother and father Howard and Agnes Swanson. She was the widow of Clinton “Bud” Waugh, the love of her life, whom she was married to for 18 wonderful months before he passed away on June 23, 1997.
Barbara was a Korean War Veteran, proudly serving in the United States Air Force from 1952-1954. She met her first husband, Harry Bryan, Sr., while she was serving in the military.
A loving mother and homemaker, Barbara enjoyed taking care of her family and preparing meals for her family and friends.
For many years leading up to her passing, she was very active with military and other community organizations. She got involved in military and pride parades and was a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and was involved in the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program, which is a program designed to increase individual and community preparedness and self-reliance in the event of man-made or natural disasters. Barbara was also a member of the Sage Society of Hemet, a group of retired and semi-retired residents of the San Jacinto Valley that met monthly for intellectual stimulation.
Barbara also enjoyed reading the Bible and attending church, travelling, people watching and visiting with friends.
She is survived by sons, Harry (June) Bryan and Howard (Toni) Bryan, brother, Paul Swanson; grandchildren, Dillon Bryan, Christopher Bryan, Jr., David Bryan, Gaylene Reishe; great grandchildren, Donovan Bryan, Skyler Bryan, Lillian Reishe, Lucy Bryan and Christian Bryan.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Bud Waugh and son, Christopher Bryan.
A graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:01 a.m.
