Basilio Ramirez

Age 87, Basilio, AKA "Tony" Ramirez passed away Friday September 10, in his home in Moreno Valley CA after a brief hospitalization.

Born in Fastrill, Texas January 9, 1934 to Gilberto and Inez Ramirez. Survived by Daughters Norma Lucas (Married to Joseph Lucas) and Marisa Ramirez; brothers Paul and Joe Ramirez, sisters Carmen Garcia, Snow White Wrangle and Jane Castillo; Grandchildren Joseph, Sean and Alicia. Tony was preceded in death by wife Martha Alicia Reyes, daughter Barbara Ramirez and son Esteban Ramirez.

Tony entered military service in 26 Sep 1968 and completed 1 tour in Viet-Nam and various other tours throughout the world including Mildenhall AB England, Vandenberg AFB and March AFB California. Tony dedicated over 20 years to the Air Force as a Supply Specialist and then went on to work at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept as a Supply Manager.

Tony will always be remembered as a loving husband and family man. He adored his family and friends. He met his wife Martha while in Texas and had four children, Norma, Barbara, Esteban and Marisa. Tony loved sports and the occasional trip to the local casino’s where he enjoyed playing the slot machines.

His daughters will receive family & friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, California .

A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Miller-Jones Mortuary, located at 23618 Sunnymead Blvd. Moreno Valley, California 92553. A committal service will be held immediately following at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, California.
