Bernardo Valenzuela Peña

Bernardo leaves behind his family, Connie Pena, their seven children: Corinna Leon, Albert Gutierrez, Mona Quezada, Arnold Gutierrez, Bernice Eatherly, Veronica Kramer, and Catherine Pena. Twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren, and many more extended family and friends.

Born in Mexicali, Mexico son of Juan and Rafaela Pena. Bernardo migrated to the United States legally in 1958 and moved to Perris, CA, but made Riverside, CA his home. Bernardo owned property in Perris, CA where he enjoyed spending his days tending to the property maintenance.

Bernardo retired from TriCo Framers in 2008 where he served as a Customer Service representative for many years. Bernardo was a carpenter by career and passion. Bernardo spent his life working, repairing, and improving ideas and projects.

Bernardo had a love for his three beloved Chihuahuas dogs: Roxy, Cinnamon, and Cocoa, as well as the dogs before.

Services for Bernardo Valenzuela Pena will begin Thursday May 25, 2017 at Miller Jones in Perris 4-8pm viewing and Rosary at 6:30pm. Friday May 26, 2017 Mass at Saint James Catholic Church in Perris (TIME TBD) and interment following at Perris Cemetery. The family is having a reception following services at Temple Christian Church hall 745 North Perris Blvd Perris, CA 92571 (Next door to Perris Cemetery)

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free

I'm following the path God laid for me,

I took His hand when I heard Him call

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day

To laugh, to love, to work, or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way.
