It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Diaz, who left this world on March 20, 2023. Betty was the beloved wife of Thomas Diaz for 57 years and together, they shared a beautiful life filled with love and family.
Betty was a fantastic mother to Edward, Ricky, Denise and her daughter-in-law Laura. Denise preceded her in death and her memory remains alive in our hearts. Betty’s family takes comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her daughter Denise and is at peace.
Betty was a loving and caring grandmother to her grandchildren Roman, Gabriel, Kaylene, Alyssa, Ricky, Savannah, Timothy, Robbie, Jamie, Brook, and Bridget, and a proud great- grandmother to Ophelia and Luca. She showered them with love, hugs, and kisses and took great pride in watching them grow up into the amazing individuals they are today.
Betty was the youngest of four. She is now reunited with her oldest brother, Nick who preceded her in death. Betty’s brother Bob and his wife Lydia shared many family vacations. Betty’s best friend was her sister Annie. Annie and her husband Tony lived blocks away from Tom and Betty. Together the four of them loved and raised their combined seven children.
Betty cherished the time she spent with family, especially camping trips, watching scary movies, and celebrating holidays, especially Christmas. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and they will miss her dearly.
Betty had a passion for teaching and worked tirelessly as a special needs teacher for many years. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to her students left a lasting impact on their lives. She touched the lives of countless children, and her legacy lives on through their achievements.
Betty will be remembered for her warm smile, her infectious giggle, and her kind and gentle spirit. She loved spending time with family and friends, and her home was always open to everyone.
Betty's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on through her family and friends and she will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, dear Betty, knowing that you will always be loved and never forgotten.
