Brenda Joyce Thornton, 69 of Hemet, California passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Hemet Valley Medical Center. She was born on December 30, 1944 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Glenn and Blanche Weaver. She loved bowling, camping and sailing. She was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and attended many games. Brenda enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always a vibrant part of every celebration. She was a generous and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Brenda will be missed by all. She is survived by a son Tom (Kathleen) Stokes, a daughter Glenda (Bill) Moyer, brother Roger Weaver, sister Karen (Steve) Zaputil, and three grandchildren, Adam (Tanya) Moyer, Erica (William) Ray, and Garret Moyer. A funeral service will be held 9:30 am, Tuesday, July 29th at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, California 92518
