Cathy was born on January 1, 1936, in San Sostene, CZ, Italy, to Vincente Procopio and Teresa Calabretta. At age 10, she and her family immigrated to Argentina before reaching the United States when she was 20. While living in Boston during a snowstorm on New Year’s Day (her birthday), after seeing the Rose Parade broadcast, she decided California would be home. In 1970, she relocated to Hemet and met her husband, Edward M. Kosikowski.
Cathy was a cosmetologist who found true reward in making her clients look and feel their best. She took great pride in her work and found immense joy in the smiles she brought to others.
She was also deeply involved in the community, serving as a lead cosmetologist the Ramona Pageant for three decades, where she enjoyed working closely with principal cast members.
A loving wife and mother, Cathy was a woman of tremendous faith and compassion. Always willing to provide a listening ear and offer thoughtful advice in any situation, she constantly set a powerful example of strength in the face of adversity, curiosity in the pursuit of knowledge, and the invaluable nature of independence. All whom she knew and loved were immeasurably blessed by time shared with her, as she brought light into all places she ventured.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Francine Delgado (Art); her son, Walter Crispo; her grandsons, Lance Delgado (Amiee) and Vincenzo Crispo; and her great-grandchildren, Cadence Delgado and Riley Delgado. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Edward M. Kosikowski.
