Born in Sumner, TX on September 25, 2013 to the late Charles H. Hoover and the late Golden Cole, Charles served in the Army during the Second World War. He was an entrepreneur, having bought a Laundromat and later, the Banning Roller Rink where he taught his donkey "Pinky" to roller skate.
He was also a very inventive man, creating a Pres-N-Snap tool for upholstery. Charles was fortunate enough to travel all around the United States and the world. He was a life-long boater; there was nothing he enjoyed more than boating. Charles was very creative and a great builder. He even constructed a 31 ft. boat that he sailed to Catalina Island.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years Linda Hoover, daughter Dodie Carlson and husband Jess of Cherry Valley, son Chuck Hoover and wife Laura of Hemet, grandchildren Jessica Carlson, Kevin Carlson, Kenny Carlson and wife Nicole, Dillon Hoover, Kristine Carlson, and Mitchell Hoover, and great-grandchildren Alyssa Carlson and Kenzy Carlson, and siblings Joyce Heflin, Jo-Rich Sprague, and Rodney Hoover.
