Charles McGilvray, of Hemet, California passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 He was born on Saturday, February 9, 1935, in West Hollywood, California, and was the son of the late John and the late Elizabeth Ryan McGilvray. He was married to the love of his life, Heather Mac Donald for over 29 years. He served proudly in the US Navy. He was an accomplished organist, choir director, and chorale singer spanning a career of over 60 years. He was an avid runner and finished ten marathons and numerous half-marathons and 10K races. He also played the accordion to the delight of his shipmates, family, and friends at an untold number of gatherings. He was a top salesman at Weber's Bread for 37 years.
Surviving is his wife Heather Mac Donald, sons Mark McGilvray ( Sue ); Matt McGilvray, daughters Michele Rosser; Monica Murphy ( Patrick ); Marie McGilvray ;Megan Burmester ( Nigel ); step-daughter April Taylor; brother Andrew McGilvray ( Patti ) and sister Jean Ayers; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
