Charles Eugene Grace, Sr. of Moreno Valley passed away in the early morning of April 2, 2022. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kaitlin, his parents, Lillie and Charles, sisters, Virginia and Helen and brother, Benjamin. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ernestine, daughters, Laura and Melanie, son, Charles, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and his sisters, Carolyn and Sharon, and their families.
Mr. Grace served in the U.S. Navy and was on submarine duty during the Korean War. He was the owner of C. Grace Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus, Riverside Transit Commission, Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Boy Scouts and formed the committee to fight the building of a hazardous waste plant in the Badlands. He was also a member of the Moreno Valley Senior Center and helped raise money for needed equipment for the center.
