Charles Spivey

Charles was born to Robert Lee Spivey and Lillie (Hundley) Spivey on Oct 06, 1931 in Danville, KY. Charles grew up in Hamilton, Ohio and graduated from Hamilton HS in 1950. Charles served in the United States Marine Corps from October 1951 to October 1954 in Washington DC. He met Marilyn M. Ryan, who was Secretary to Secretary of the Navy, and Miss US Marine Corps 1954. Charles and Marilyn married in 1959 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Charles and Marilyn lived in Phoenix, AZ for many years. Charles worked as a manufacturing engineer for Allied Signal Aerospace from which he eventually retired. They moved to Sun City, California in 1998. Marilyn passed away in May 2006. Charles and Marilyn were married 48 years.

Charles married Evelyn Loos March 2008, living happily in Sun City, California. Evelyn passed away peacefully in January 2019.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lucille Elder and great-nephew Paul H Ulreich III. He is survived by nephew Robert (Sharon) Gose of Louisville, KY, nieces Caroland Hagan of Lebanon, Ohio and Susan Bolish of Fairfield, Ohio; great-nieces and nephews; Carolyn "Beth", Robert, Melinda, Christopher, Jessica and Daniel and several great-great nieces and nephews. Charles is also survived by his step-family; son Larry Loos, daughter Linda Roberts, Four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Interment will be with his wife Marilyn Spivey in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
