Charley Howard Wise, age 98, of Hemet , CA , passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Charley was born November 19, 1914 in Leavenworth , Kansas . He was the son of the late Elmer W. Wise and the late Clara Mary (Irvin) Wise. Charley owned Wise Construction Company; he was a civil engineer for 45 years. He served our country proudly during WWII in the Army. Charley was awarded a purple heart, recipient of Distinguished Service Cross. He also received a bronze star for Exemplary conduct in ground combat against the armed enemy during the Tunisia Campaign, in the North African Theater of operations, while assigned as Staff Sergeant, 133rd Infantry Regiment. Charley was preceded in death by his loving wife Evelyn L. Wise and his siblings Roger, Lois, Richard, Margaret, Eunice, Robert, & Elizabeth. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
