Chong Cha Mathis, age 70, of Moreno Valley, California, passed away, Sunday, February 9, 2014, in Moreno Valley, California. She was born on Wednesday, October 20, 1943 in Korea to the late Cha Son and the late Kim (Pun) Son. She was the loving wife of William H. Mathis Jr. for over 39 years. She will greatly missed, but forever loved.
Those left to mourn her passing, but cherish her memory is her loving husband, William H. Mathis, Jr.; daughter, Carla Smith; step-children, William H. Mathis III and Brita Mathis; grandchildren, Tyler Vasquez, Darian Vasquez, Nicholas Maynard, Naziah Mathis, Daytovian Holcomb, Brianna, Diamond and Trayvon; great-grandchild, Jett and a host of other family members and friends. Chong was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Mathis.
Arrangements are entrusted to Miller-Jones Moreno Valley Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, California Graveside service will be at Riverside National Cemetery at 11:45 AM, Thursday, February 20, 2014, staging # 4.
