

Clayton Marshall Babbitt was born November 21, 1918 in Bartley Nebraska. Dad joined Mom, Barbara Theresa Babbitt in Heaven on January 13, 2015. Dad passed away of Congestive Heart Failure in St. George Utah; Brookdale Nursing Home Memory Care.
Bud, as his family called him spent his younger years in Nebraska and then in Boise Idaho. There he met and married Barbara Theresa Mead on September 20, 1938 in Council Idaho. Mom passed on August 11, 1999. Dad said that he lost "The Best Friend he ever had". Dad is survived by their five children: Clayton Jr., Rebecca Ann, Robert Calvin, Theresa Ann, Michael William, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. A big family that Dad loved so much.

Clayton was a World War ll Veteran, serving in the United States Infantry as a Rifleman & Automatic Rifleman in France and Germany. Dad received several Medals including:

Clayton Was born 11-21-18 as the Eighth child of Cecil & Nellie Babbitt. His father was a graduate pharmacist who owned and operated the Drugstore in Bartley Nebraska. The family moved to Boise Idaho March of 1923, where Dad's father established a pharmacy business mainly serving the cattle industry.
Clayton was hired 3-1-46 by the Associated Telephone Company in Santa Monica, CA, this Company became the General Telephone Company in the 1950's and then became associated and incorporated into Verizon. Dad served 35 years in various jobs & Exchanges, the last 27 years in Management. Dad always considered himself so fortunate to have a good job, as Dad lived through the Depression. Those memories stayed with him a lifetime.
Clayton's grandparents on both sides Homesteaded Land in South Western Nebraska in the 19th century.
