Diane Marie Smith, 72, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, in Hemet, California. She was born on Wednesday, April 30, 1947 in Connecticut to her parents, Henry and Lena Fournier. After high school, she went on to marry the love of her life, Zachary Scott Smith. They met through mutual friends dung high school. Diane and Zack were married for 53 wonderful years and had six children. Diane was a wonderful wife and loving mother. She also worked in the day care industry. In her spare time, she loved going bowling or spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Zack worked for Amtrak, so he and Diane loved taking train trips together. Diane will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lena Fournier. Diane is survived by her husband, Zack Smith, her children, David Smith, Chris (Koreen) Smith, Laurie (Shane) Chaparrosa, Julie (Mathew) Smith, Eric (Lorraine) Smith, and Melanie Smith, her siblings, Gail Mealy, Richard Fournier, and Kathy Collins, 18 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held privately.
