

Surviving are sons, Donald Anderson ( Joanne ), Donald Smith ( Kay ) and Dale G Smith ( Celia ), daughter, Diane La Baw ( Jerry ), brother, Sid Payne ( Sarah ); 12 grand children; 12 great grand children. He loved NASCAR racing and watched all the races on tv. Donald was a staple on Saturday night at the Perris Auto Speedway. If there was a special event, he and Connie would also be at the speedway enjoying the races or events and eating food at the Family Affair. Donald was known to travel around Arizona and Nevada if there was a race. He was a family man and loved to do projects around the house. Donald could fix just about anything and would make a part if that's what it took to make things work. If there was a project, it involved his tractor. Donald was a Matich employee for over 30 years, and was very well known and loved by his fellow co-workers and employers, "he was Matich to the bone" as his boss would say to him. Donald was featured on the cover of the Matich Informer the company paper in November 1982, for his years of uninterrupted employment and service to the company. Donald was often approached by other companies to get him to join their organizations and his answer was always " You better discuss it with the boss." Donald was very likeable and enjoyed everyone's company. He was known to say " Your thoughten' again ". His family describes him as hard working, dependable,honest, loyal and responsible. Donald was also a Ford man, this was is car/truck of choice and they never let him down.
