

Surrounded by family, Donald E. Youngman, 86, passed away on April 25, 2019, at Hemet Valley Medical Center, in Hemet, California. Donald was born on May 12, 1932, in Salina, Oklahoma, to his late father Robert Reichs Youngman, and late mother Ollie Mae (Phillips) Youngman. Also, preceded in death by his siblings Maggie “Nadine” Youngman, Robert “Ernest” Youngman, Ozella M Owens, Virginia M Haight, and Lydia N Jackson.
Don was a wonderful man who loved, cherished, and adored his family to the fullest. He was an amazing husband and friend to his beautiful wife whom he married on September first, 1956 and spent sixty-two wonderful years together. Don was a military veteran who served his Nation in the Army (US) 1949 – 1952, Marines (Korea and Viet Nam) 1952 – 55 and the Air Force (US) 1956 – 1963.
Don had the gift of conversation and could speak to anyone on many interesting topics. He was a man of strong Christian faith as well as an active member of inland Valley Baptist fellowship Church. He enjoyed hobbies such as pitching horseshoes on a local team and being a member of the Southern California Horseshoe Pitchers Association where he had fun competing with other teams in the area. During his retirement he showed great talent when he took up woodworking. He made rocking horses, cradles, kids size tables and chairs, toy boxes and many other projects. Some he sold and many he gifted to family and friends who still treasure them and pass them down to their children's children.
He is survived by his beautiful wife, Merna, his children; Pearl Gonzalez (Albino), Daniel Youngman (Deborah), Barbara Jordan, his siblings; Kyle Youngman, Russell Youngman, and Velma Demaray. Don is also survived by eight amazing grandchildren; Jesse Gonzalez (Michelle), Brockton Youngman, Branden Youngman (Yiqing), Brianna Markgraf (Evan), Brion Youngman, Chelsey Jordan, Ciera Jordan, Caitlin Jordan-Alvaraz (Alex), six great-grandchildren; Liam and Eli Markgraf, Dawson and Charlotte Alvarez, Zaid Smadi and Elijah Godek, Isaac Edward Youngman and two more blessings on the way. Don was an extraordinary husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
