Dorothy was born in Beresford, South Dakota on July 20, 1924 to Claude and Clara Morrison . Moving to Moorhead, Minnesota at the age of 6, Dorothy attended elementary school, secondary school and completed her education at Moorhead State Teacher's College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Dorothy met Bernard McGuire while attending college and they married in 1947.
Both being teachers they lived and taught in North Dakota and Minnesota, moving to California in 1958. They settled in Torrance residing there for thirty years. In 1991 Dorothy and Bernard moved to Hemet to enjoy retirement, golf and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Bernard, her three children Patrick his wife Sally, Susan her husband Goy, Claudia and her husband John. Six grandchildren Tracey, Jimmy, Trisha, Mitch, Brett and Johnny. 3 great grandchildren Jackson, Aiden and Liam.
Dorothy will be remembered as being loving, caring and extremely protective of those she loved.
