

Dorothy Marian Morton, 96 of Fullerton, California passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Carnelian Villa in Anaheim, California. She was born on Wednesday, July 26, 1916 in Quincy, Illinois and was married to LeRoy Morton for 67 years before he passed away on June 1, 2001. During their retirement years they loved to travel and took many cruises. Dorothy especially enjoyed the Alaskan cruise as her favorite. She worked as a Nurse for over 10 years. Dorothy as past president for Odd Fellows and Rebekahs. She enjoyed participating in the float decorations for the Rose Parade Float. Dorothy also loved her grand children. At Christmas time, the family tradition is to gather and make dozens and dozens of cookies. She also loved to collect bears and had an extensive collection. Dorothy was generally interested in people and she never knew a stranger. Her family describes her as friendly, kind hearted, strong and with a real strength of character. Surviving is her son, Art (Jean) Morton of Eugene, OR, daughter, Sharon (Phillip) Anderson of Fullerton, CA; 7 grand children; 11 great grand children. Services will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. on January 15, 2013 at 12:31pm, staging area #6.
