Douglas Francis Fagan, 61 of Riverside, was born on October 15, 1960 in Lowell, MA to Norma Jean Fagan. Known to his family and friends as "Doug," he was the oldest of six siblings. He has four brothers (Stuart, Craig, Kip and Garrick) and one sister (Nancy). Doug grew up in California, or as he put it, "I'm just a kid from Valinda, [California]." After graduating from Workman High School, Doug began his college career at Cal Poly Pomona. After spending a few years simultaneously at Cal Poly and Mt. Sac, Doug transferred to Azusa Pacific University where he would earn his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1986. After working a regular job for a while, Doug got bored and decided to apply to Law Schools all over the country. He decided on the school that he and his brothers Stuart and Craig were all accepted into, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. It is here where Doug and his brothers discovered their love for Nebraska football and that tradition carries on today in their respective families. Upon graduating Law School in 1990, Doug and his brothers made history as they were the first 3 brothers in the history of the United States to graduate from law school at the same time. After passing the three-day California bar exam, Doug settled in California where he would practice law for 32 years.
While Doug was a stellar attorney, he loved his family and being a Christian more than anything else. Whether it was shopping for plants with Diana, sitting in a pile of kitties with Tori or outside in the front yard playing catch with Sean, his family was everything to him. Doug was a devote Christian, teaching his family and anyone else that crossed his path about the love God has for us. His home church growing up was Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and Pastor Chuck Smith was his teacher. Once Pastor Chuck went to heaven Doug began to take his family to Calvary Chapel Chino Hills where they enjoyed the messages of Pastor Jack Hibbs.
Doug is now in heaven waiting for the rest of his family to join him. We miss you, Dad.
