On June 28, 2011, Edward J. Hewitt, at age 79, moved on to glory after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, 2 sons, stepson and 5 grand children.Born in Riverside, Ed grew up in Lakeview, served in the Navy during the Korean War, graduated from UCR in Physics and careered in electronic engineering. Ed would be the first to tell you that he lead a blessed life which made it easy for him to share his good fortune with others. Ed was a dedicated volunteer at the Hemet Salvation Army, was a member of the Cruisin “A”s model A club and MSJC writing group.The family wishes to express their appreciation for all the prayers and support which has been poured upon us.Arrangements are entrusted to the care of McWane Family Funeral Home, 350 N.
