Having lost my Son ten months ago, Denise and I fully understand the range of emotions and sorrow you and your family are experiencing right now. From loss to hurt to memories and emptiness - be comforted my friend to know that Emily is enjoying her family reunion in Heaven and now knows its her turn to watch over you, Mary and the girls. I still cannot believe that you are gone. I remember meeting you for the first time and your smile just shined so brightly. I know that you are in a better place and that you are finally at peace. Dearest Wigs & Mary, 

There simply are no words to express the sorrow we felt upon hearing the awful news of the passing of your precious daughter Emily. We can only imagine how devastating this must be for both of you and the rest of your family. Of course your life is forever changed as a result of Emily’s demise ~ because there is nothing, nothing as painful as losing a child. After all, we are not supposed to be outlived by our children. It goes completely against the natural order of things, it is so terribly unjust, and it is so very hard to accept. 

We are both so very grateful that their cousins Kristen and Geralyn were able to see Emily and spend a little bit of time with her during one of our gatherings at Elmer’s house in Newport News, VA. We remember when Kristen even mentioned and commented how so blessed Emily was when she completed her successful exchange student studies in Europe, and wished that someday experienced the same opportunity. 

For Kissy and Megan, I'm sure that the bond you both have with Emily will be with you always, as long as you keep her memory and the love you share with her alive in your hearts. You will always be Emily’s loving sisters. It may be a tremendous loss, but it certainly does not end the relationship you have with her. Although she is no longer physically with us, it doesn't mean we cannot continue to love her in her absence. We hope the memories you have of your precious sister will one day bring you comfort, and know that at this time of pain and sorrow our Lord is close to you. He understands the pain you feel for He knew sorrow too. He’s always very close to those whose hearts are filled with care. Please know that we are lifting up your needs to Him in prayer.

There are no words that will ease the pain of losing a wonderful angel like Emily. Her leaving caused so many tears to all of us but we will soon realise that she will always be with us and watching over us.
Although we are thousand of miles away from you now, we share your sorrows and our prayers and thoughts will always be with and the whole family. In as much as we would like to give the family a big hug of comfort, just bear in mind that we share your pain and will always miss Emily.
