Esther Rice

Esther Rice, age 92, of Hemet , Ca. passed away on April 20, 2010 ather residence. Born April 09, 1918 in Winfield , Kansas where she completed grade school, graduated fromhigh school and from Southwestern College where sheobtained her bachelor degree in music. In 1952 she married her first husband,James C. Fleming, in 1972 she married her second husband, Albert Frantz andretired in Hemet .In 1989 she became the wife of Pleasant Rice.Besides her music, Esther enjoyed gardening, correspondingwith family and friends, flower arranging, reading and crafts. Though Estherhad no children of her own she considered herself richly blessed with her twostep sons; Robert Frantz and Robert Rice, two step daughters, Bertha Rice Wileyand Charnelle Rice Wickes, and many nieces and nephews. Esther is also survivedby her sister Dorothy Happel of Hastings , NY .The funeral service will be at First Baptist Church on Friday, April30, 2010 commencing at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery .A gathering will take place concluding the graveside service at First Baptist Church 26089 Girard Street Hemet, Ca.92544 from 12-2p.m.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Estherto First Baptist Mission Reserve.Entrusted to the care of McWane Family Funeral Home.
