Evelyn Norma Gibson

Evelyn Norma Gibson, age 86, of Hemet, CA passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Evelyn was born on Friday, October 1, 1926 to Carl and Celie Northcutt in Oklahoma. She was a member of The First Assembly of God Church in Hemet for 25 years. Evelyn was the heart and glue of her family. She enjoyed ceramics, sewing , and cross stitching. Evelyn loved going to the beach with the family and working cross word puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Darlene Hansen; and her son, Carl O'dell. Evelyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of more than 67 years, Emmitt Gibson; her daughters, Evangeline Gibson, Thelma Bryant, and Peggy Osuna; her sons, Emmitt Gibson Jr., Don (Joy) Curry, Phil (Janet) Gibson, and Walter (Carol) Gibson; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Miller-Jones Mortuary 1501 West Florida Avenue, Hemet, CA 92543. Funeral Services will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 am with a graveside service to immediate4ly follow at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery 2555 South Santa Fe Street, San Jacinto, CA 92583. Evelyn touched many lives and will be truly missed by all those who were honored to know her and who loved her.
