
Ezell Parker, Sr. was born August 5, 1928 to Will and Verna Parker of Big Sandy, Texas; he was the third of five children. Ezell joined the Air Force in this late teens. After being honorably discharged from the military service, he moved to Los Angeles in the early sixties, where he met and married his late wife, Mary H. Majors Parker, they had two children. He met and married his loving wife, Elisa Martinez Parker later in life; they had been married for 33 years. Ezell retired from the United Parcel Services, where he worked for over 28 years.
Ezell accepted Christ in his life at an early age. He and Elisa moved to Oregon for a few years and was added to the Church of Christ in Oregon. Later, when he returned to California and settled in Moreno Valley, he became a member of the Church of Christ in Moreno Valley under the leadership of Brothers Sam King, Jean Tripp and Wade J. Osborn in the eighties. Ezell as a faithful member, he attended worship services until his health prevented him from attending. However, members of his loving fellowship prayed and sang with him in his home each Sunday afternoon.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, loved him, and whose life he touched. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Elisa Parker, a son, Ezell Parker, Jr., daughter, Marion Parker, a step-daughter, Gloria Majors Handy, and two grandsons, Brandon Parker and Malcom Parker. He also leaves a sister, Norma Ruth Parker of Houston, Texas; and nephews Terry, etc., and a number of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
