Frances Estes

Monday evening November 26, 2018, at the age of 94 our beloved mother, sister, grandma and great grandma left this earth to be with our Lord in heaven. She was born Frances Marie Lee to William Robert (Bob) Lee and Ida Gartrell Lee on August 31, 1924 in Iowa Park Texas. When she was 17 she married Foy Wesley Estes on November 13, 1941 in Walters Oklahoma. They had three children: Travis Arthur, Frances Marie, and Vernon Marelton. Frances worked as a waitress, a riveter, a seamstress, a cook, and a cashier at the grocery store. She retired from cashiering on disability due to the curvature of her spine she only had 1 inch between her breastbone and her spine but it never slows her down. She was always busy and always helping. She always had a smile for everyone and everyone who knew her and loved her.

Frances was baptized after she married. She loved God and was a true servant to him and everyone she met. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Studebaker Road. She attended services faithfully and sent in her contribution when she was away or couldn’t attend. She always looked for ways to help others. She would go to people’s houses to do their laundry and cook for them or anything that needed to be done. Her friend said that she earned the most jewels in her crown.

Everyone loved her fresh baked goodies or the quilts and the soft books she made for all the kids. She was always passing out candy to everyone. She loved kids and loved being around them. She always wanted to make people happy she was lovingly known as GG to everyone. She loved to watch football and was up on all the scores and liked watching all sports.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Hazel, her brothers Travis his wife Margaret , Robert and his wife Vera and her husband Foy Estes.

She is survived by her brother Virgil his wife Linda, her three children and their spouses Travis (Sue), Frances (Bob), and Vernon (Rosie).

She had nine grandchildren and their spouses Lori (Matt), Sandy (Julio), Jeff (Kelly), Brad (Melissa), Brent (Carrie), Travis W (Nathan), Darren, Adam, and Megan (Lee).

18 great grandchildren and spouses: Jake and Kayla; Robert (Kim), Rene (Jerry), Jose (Vanessa) and Anthony (Jessica); Samantha, Isabella, and Quinn; Jessica and Hannah; Tanner, Tristan (Michaela),and Logan, Jake and Justin, Carly (Caleob); and Collin.

13 great great grandchildren: Mario, Joshua, Devon, Damian; Nathan, Heaven, Nevaeh, Robert Junior and Naylene ; Carlos and Jalen; Joseph and Aliya Vanna.
