

Frank James Grim was born Monday, May 24, 1937 in Minden, Louisiana. He was the son of Bill Grim and Rosie Bell (Grisby) Grim. Frank accepted the Lord as his personal savior early in life. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years. Frank was a maintenance engineer and a scrap metal recycler for more than 20 years. In 1956 Frank married Rose Anderson and to that union five children were born.
Uncle Frank as many knew him was a dedicated family man. He had a way of making everyone feel extra special. Sharing stories with his family was Frank's way of passing on his knowledge. Laughter and frank went hand and hand. He enjoyed making others laugh. A little known fact is Frank actually was one of the first black dancers on a television dance show in the mid 1950's. His hobbies included singing and dancing. He truly understood the meaning of enjoying life to the fullest.
On Saturday, April 26, 2014, Inglewood, California Frank James Grim went home to be with the Lord at the age of 76. He will forever be loved and cherished by his family and friends.
Proceeding him in death are his parents, siblings; Essie Mae Rymes, Allen Grim, George Grim Sr., Luella Tyler, Gilbert Grim, Sis Grim, and Eunice Grim.
He is survived by his children; Cassandra Grim, Angela Richards, Cherice Grim-Woolridge, Brigette Grim, Darrell Grim, Frank Grim Jr., Sharon Grim and Felicia Thomas, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews other family and friends.
