George Devry

George DeVry, 90 of Murrieta, California passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Manor Care in Hemet, California . He was born on Wednesday, March 9, 1927 and was the son of late Irving and Julia Romero DeVry. George served in the US Navy for 4 years during WWII. He was a proud member of the local VFW and The Elks Club in Temecula. George held many positions with in these organizations and he participated in the community. He served as President of the Murrieta Hot Springs Association, helped at the Murrieta Senior Center. He was an active member of the Republican Party while backing canadates and making donations. George enjoyed traveling and visited many states in the US and visited may countries abroad. He liked to be active and played golf when he had the opportunity. George visited the gym three days a week religiously. He had a strong faith in God and his family describe him as fun loving, social, intelligent, family oriented and a great sense of humor. George will be sorely missed by those that knew him and loved him. Surviving are sons, Steve DeVry ( Kathy); Scott DeVry ( Connie ); and Christopher DeVry ( Lisa ),8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
