

Gerald Stack graduated from Kansas University with his BA, then served in the U. S. Army and at the U. S. State Department in Washington, DC. Gerald also received graduate degrees from Florida International University and Georgetown University. Gerald, a linguistics expert, lived internationally and traveled extensively throughout Europe, teaching European students who longed to learn English.
In the early 1980s, Gerald was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and spent many years thriving and surviving through this challenging condition, finally settling in beautiful, sunny southern California in 1984.
Preceding him in death were his loving parents, Betty Bandell Stack and Gerald Stack Sr, and his beloved grandmother Mary Murphy Bandell. Mr. Stack is survived by his first cousin, Virginia Stack Burns of Kansas City, MO, and her children: Greg, Tim (Marianne), Peggy Burns-Yocum (Chip Yocum) and Annie Burns (John Monahan), and the children of Maurice (Moss) and Madoline Stack: Jeanne (Mike Momb), Bob, Nancy (Gary Kidd), Janet (Hull), and Mary (Brian Polcari) and many cousins, including Maggie and Jack Monahan, as well as his long-time, very dear friend, Margarita Anderson.
A viewing will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hemet at 9am on Friday, February 8th, followed by a funeral Mass at 10am and he will be interred at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by McWane Family Funeral Home in Hemet, CA.
