Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in Hemet, California. He was born on December 8, 1921 in Aberdine, Idaho to the late Lloyd and Mary Hoffer.
Jacob served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. He enjoyed wood working, collecting old bottles and antique's, using his metal detector and maintaining his 3 acres he lived on in Wildomar, California.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ora Fern Hoffer in March of 2001. He is survived by his three children, Ann Birdsall, Larry Hoffer and Jerry Hoffer; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4-8pm at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Sun City. A Funeral service on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Miller-Jones Mortuary @10am with burial at Wildomar Cemetery.
