James William Bowers, 96, went peacefully home to the Lord on March 24, 2015. Born April 27, 1918 in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of William & Hazel Bowers, & brother of Margaret. After serving in the US Navy during WW2, he worked at Rockwell as an electrical engineer on the Apollo program. A resident of Hemet, Ca for 33 years he was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife of 66 years, Mildred Bowers. He is remembered for his love of gardening and his love of the Lord. He is survived by his son Dennis John, 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by wife Mildred, son Richard "Dick", and Sister Margaret.
