James Ellsworth Skillern, 85 of Hemet, California passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013, at his home in Hemet, California. James was born Sunday, September 4, 1927 in Hinsdale, Illinois, he was the son of the late James Skillern and the late Bessie Payne Skillern. He was the loving husband of Alice Ryman Skillern. Surviving are son, William Skillern, daughter, Linda Jean Read; 4 grand children and 6 great grandchildren. James loved his family. His family would say that he was loving, a great husband, father and grandfather. They would also say that James was a bit of a jokester. When the family was young they would go camping, fishing and golfing. He will be greatly missed.
The family will have a a visitation at Miller-Jones Chapel at 1501 W. Florida Ave. Hemet. on April 28th. from 4 to 7 pm. A graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. on April 30th at 1:31.
