

Jane Faith Hoffman (Johnson) passed away peacefully at 88 years old on November 12, 2021 in Murrieta, California at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, John and Kelly Hoffman surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born October 1, 1933 to the late Lawrence and Merle Johnson of Waverly, Ohio (Pike County).
She worked for Hughes Aircraft in California for many years assembling missiles where she received numerous awards for her work performance. Before retiring in 1992, Jane was promoted to training new hires.
Jane loved spending time with family and friends and never met a stranger. Always remembering names of new faces, she always kept in touch and made time for all of her family and friends she loved so much. Jane also loved her coffee, watching TV, especially game shows, Lifetime movies, and enjoyed talking to family and friends on the telephone. Most of all, Jane’s favorite past times were playing bingo with her friends she adored and played at several bingo halls in California, especially “Canyon Bingo” where she without a doubt was a winner!
She was always very proud of her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She loved to share their accomplishments with her friends and spend as much time as possible doing various activities with them all, including school activities, play time, word find, board games, listening to the piano, fixing their hair, and so on. Jane loved others and always put others first. Her heart was larger than life as she would do anything to help others at any time.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Johnson and Merle Ellen Mustard / Johnson / Vanscoy, her late husband, John Hoffman, son, Jimmy Hoffman, brothers, Dallas Johnson (Fern), Roy Mustard Jr., Wayne Mustard, sister, Sandy Fisher, nephew, John Borders and grandson, Andrew Olson.
Jane is survived by her three sons, Rick Johnson (Janet) Illinois, John Hoffman (Kelly) California, Robert Hoffman (Andrea) Oregon, brother, Gary Mustard (Norma) Ohio, grandchildren, Melissa Johnson/Olson/Buis (Eric) Illinois, Jami Green (Heather) Illinois, Cassidy Johnson/Zumwalt (Don) Illinois, Shadd Hoffman (Nadine) Arizona, Brittnee Hoffman/Kary/Watts (Nathan) Arkansas, Joel Hoffman (Nicki) California, P.J. Hoffman (Lauran) California, Sara Reddick (Chris) Texas, Shawn Hoffman (Stephanie) Florida, Leah Hoffman Florida, great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ethan, & Alex Olson, Ava, Alexis, Austin & Allyson Buis (Illinois), Tori & Aiden Green (Illinois), Haven & Oliver Zumwalt (Illinois), Amelia Johnson (Illinois), Tai, Rider & Zoe (California), Ezra, Levi & Penny (California), Kenadee & Tyson (Arkansas), Allexas, Addasyn, Allanna & Christopher (Texas), Braxton & Charlotte (Florida), great-great grandson, Kingston (Illinois), and several nieces and nephews from Ohio and the surrounding areas along with an abundance of loving friends from California, Illinois and Ohio.
Jane is loved by all who knew her and she will be dearly missed. A memorial service in memory of her will take place at a later date, may she rest in peace.
