She worked in customer relations for 8 years. She loved to write poetry.
Janel is survived by her daughter, Lexie Smith, son Cody Smith and her parents, Robert Matthewson and Joanne Matthewson. She is also survived by her sister Christine Fritts and her grandson Cole Imbriani.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 5pm to 6pm with services to follow at 6pm at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Sun City, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Sun City, CA.
