Passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Lake Elsinore, California surrounded by his loving family; he was born on September 22, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Jesse and Elenora (Striegel) Johnson.
Jesse served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He was a Vice President for banking. He enjoyed collecting stamps, trains, and coins. He also enjoyed reading.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary; his children and their families, Douglas (Marilyn) Johnson, Bryan (Terri) Johnson, Kathrine (Chuck) Nelson, Andrew Johnson and Eric Johnson; one brother Kenneth Johnson; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Miller-Jones Mortuary 26770 Murrieta Rd., Sun City, Ca from 4-8pm. A funeral mass will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 12noon at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church with military honors to follow at the church. He will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery.
