Jimmy Richard Love

Jimmy Richard Love passed away at the age of 85, on Thursday, August 1, 2019, in San Bernardino, California. He was born on Thursday, February 1, 1934, in Porum, Oklahoma, to the late Earl Lalen and Annie Sue (Bennett) Love.

Jimmy grew up in Wasco, California and served in the US Marine Corps as a Sgt. for three years from 1953 - 1956. He was married to the love of his life, Rheba Marie (Williamson) Love for 58 years before her passing in July 2017. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and vacationing. His family would vacation at Pismo Beach, Alabama, and Oklahoma. Jimmy loved his family and God. He made sure his family was well taken care of. Drinking coffee and reading the newspaper were his enjoyment. Jimmy was always a straight man to his best friend’s, Lois Mix’s jokes. He was a very successful man. He opened 3 barber shops: Long Beach, Anaheim, and Corona. Jimmy owned his own big rig truck and worked for Thrifty for 25 years. His family described him as loving, caring and a kind soul. He will be missed by all that knew him and loved him.

Jimmy is survived by his loving children: J. Renee Love, and C. Michael Shaneyfelt; his wonderful grandchildren: Jacob (Kim) Washburn, Stephanie (Ron) Hutchinson, and Christina (Adam) King; his caring great-grandchildren: Trace (Amber) Taft, Shelby, Jonathan, Jade Washburn, and Aria King; 2 adoring great-great grandchildren: Hannah and Hunter Taft; and his brother: Earnie Love and sister in love M Lorine Love; his nephews Randy Settlemire, Bryan Settlemire, and niece Lynette Settlemire-Goff; and many grandnieces and great-great grandnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Annie, his daughter Mickey Washburn, his sister Earleen Settlemire, and his nephew Richard Lalen Love.

A Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 18, 2019, from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, at the Miller-Jones Mortuary located on 1501 W. Florida Ave, in Hemet. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Monday August 19, 2019 at 2:15 pm, at Riverside National Cemetery.
